08. What stays in Vegas...

[There are a lot of adventures the Doctor's had with Rose Tyler. Many of them ones he'd never dreamed of having with her.

Waking up in a mess of sheets in nothing but his boxers and the messy remnants of the open vest and shirt of a tux with a more than pounding headache and a blur of party-induced memory of the night before was definitely not on the expected list.

Especially not when he notices he's not alone in said bed.]

[Oh no. But Vegas is warm enough that Rose isn't tucked against his side at least. No, she's sprawled out on the rest of it instead, on arm hanging by the elbow off the bed, clad in nothing but a little pair of white shorts that curve way too high on side-hems and ... nothing else. Really, she's face down at least, but there is not a scant piece of clothing on her upper half.

Except maybe something glinting off her left hand, which consequently, is digging into her cheek since she's laying on it. So he's spared that little surprise just yet.]

[He might be spared that surprise, but as he glances blearily over at her and takes in how bare her top is? Well, given his own state of undress this is... not good. Not good at all. And the last thing he wants to do is startle her awake and have her jump up, so... he'll just be pulling the sheet up over her shoulders, making sure it was still covering his own lap - just in case- before reaching over and gently shaking her.]

Rose... Rose, wake up... Rose.

[Its not until a few seconds into his rousing does he realize the added weight on his left hand. A simple gold band sitting perfectly below the knuckle. He.... really needs to dig out those memories. Like... right now.]

Mnm, five more minutes... [Nope, not moving yet. She's too busy curling her arms further in, wrapping around the pillow she's half laying on and hugging it tight against her chest- useless really, considering she was already covered, but you get the idea.

Oh look, with her arms around the pillow now, that's a pretty little sparkle on her left hand there, Doctor.]

[One of his eyes squints closed as the glint from her ring hits him, and he almost completely misses it. His mind almost glances over it in the midst of the hangover.

But then it clicks. Then he gets it. And almost instantly, its like his hearts are simply stopping.]

.... Rose, your- [And he's up, out of bed, getting across the room before turning back around, dragging his hand down his face] Finger. That... on your finger.

[Because there is a ring on her finger and they are both only partially dressed, were spooning in a bed of a hotel he has no idea about - name, location, how they even got here last night-

..... [He takes a few steps closer, dragging a hand down his face and stopping, at the end, with his palm still curled over his lips, trying to keep himself from freaking out too badly about all this.] ... Rose, do you remember anything from last night?
